In Chinese medicine spring time is associated with the liver organ and the time to cleanse from the winter and start anew. This a great opportunity to reset the body. Here is what I suggest you try. There are countless detox /cleanse people can follow. Some maybe too stressful on your body if you have certain health issues, in addition some of these practices can even be damaging to your body.
I recommend setting aside anywhere from 3 day to 14 days for what I call a wellness program. Depending on your health concerns we customize specific program. I only recommend fasting for short periods of time and only for some patients for others we start a program of eliminating the typical culprits, such as sugar, caffeine and wheat and diary.. by creating a diet of fresh vegetable either slightly steamed or raw, and brown or white rice, and both vegetable and bone broths, Drinking filtered water with lemon and add in herbal teas we are able to rejuvenate the body. Herbs such as dandelion, milk thistle, oat straw and cleavers are used to help cleanse the blood and detoxify the liver. Remember side effects can occur during a cleanse, such as mild headache, muscle ache, and bowel changes. There is no one size fits all. I always recommend having a heath care provider you trust to help guide you through a spring cleanse that suits your specify needs.
