It's essential to have herbs that are always in your cupboard for every day use! These are my top five herbs that I always have on hand for everything from cold & flu to digestive issues to insomnia.
You don't have to have a hundred different varieties to stay healthy year round, these 5 herbs will have you feeling energized and at your best. Don't forget to share the love and pass this post on to your friends and family. Health is wealth!

Astragalus  / Huang Qi
Astragalus Membranaceus has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Some common properties of Astragalus otherwise known as Huang Qi is for boosting the immunity, anti-inflammatory, working with the cardio-vascular system, antibiotic properties, anti-virus, anti-aging, anti-oxidant, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.  In addition to being a top herb used during the cold and flu season.

Danielle's personal tip: I use this herb in it's whole form! I like to put it right into a delicious pot of chicken soup as it helps to keep me and my family healthy & strong all winter long!

Angelica / Dang Gui
Dang Gui is a top herb in treating women's health and fertility. It is a nourishing and invigorating herb which builds the blood. It aids in building nail strength, hair vitality and brightens complexion and overall skin radiance. In addition, Dang Gui helps to invigorate the flow of blood thereby alleviating pain.

Danielle's personal tip: This is my favorite herb for PMS and menstrual irregularities! Used in combination with other balancing herbs, Dang Gui will help to regulate your monthly cycle and to alleviate otherwise difficult menstruation.

Nettles (Urtica Dioica)
Stinging Nettles are a common herb that could be growing right in your back yard! Nettles help to promote blood circulation, they detoxify the body of excess chemicals and toxins. This comes to be very helpful for allergies and Rhinitis, as well Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.

Danielle's personal tip: In the Spring, couple Nettles with Quercitin in treating seasonal allergies!

Echinacea Agustafolia
Commonly known as purple cone flower, this is a beautiful herb which you will see growing throughout the summer. Ehinacea is a natural anti-biotic, natural anti-viral and is used to treat colds, upper respiratory infections and has come to be a major herb in increasing the number of white blood cells in the body to fight infection.

Danielle's personal tip: In the Fall, roots are dug up and tinctured right before the first frost.
After seeping for 6 weeks, strain the roots out, put the liquid into brown bottles and use all Winter long to stay healthy & vitalized!

Red Raspberry
Red Raspberry is a nourishing herb best used in tea form! You can keep Red Raspberry tea in your cupboard year round. It's a mildly sweet tea packed with rich anti-oxidants. It's high in magnesium, potassium, B vitamins and iron. All of this makes Red Raspberry excellent in treating balancing the female reproductive system. It can be used for leg cramps, nausea and insomnia. It's tannins make it excellent for treating rashes, skin disorders and sunburns.

Danielle's personal tip: For centuries, midwives have been using Red Raspberry to strengthen the Uterus during pregnancy. Drink one cup a day and reap a lifetime of benefits.
